Doctors of Internal Medicine

Medicine

Doctors of Internal Medicine Doctors of internal medicine, often called “internist”, focus on adult medicine. Internists provide care from age eighteen through old age, focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. At least 3 of their 7 or more years of medical school and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases. Thus, internists are referred to as the “doctor’s doctors” because they are called upon to act as consultants to other physicians and help solve puzzling diagnostic problems. Dr. Tyroch has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 1994. We see patients for problems ranging from simple health examinations to more complex diagnostic illnesses. Most health insurances are accepted including Medicare. We treat a wide variety of medical illnesses including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving all systems of the body. This includes but is not limited to heart disease, hypertension, pulmonary diseases, gastrointestinal illnesses, diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney disease, arthritis, infectious diseases just to mention a few. Innovative methods are applied to the care of the patient that maximizes health outcome, efficiency and quality. Internists offer full-spectrum primary care, emphasizing wellness, prevention, and treatment when patients are ill (including hospital care)
